This was exactly what we needed to help our girl recover from TPLO surgery. Reduced her time wearing a cone an protected her shaved leg from licking but also from rubbing on the carpet etc.
great product. Fit well… the XL on our 115lb Pyrenees. We are happy.

I didn't use the sleeve as my baby didn't need surgery after all, however, the customer service was remarkable assisting with my return and refund. This will be my go to if needed and I will recommend to everyone for peace of mind versus using the cone of shame. Thank you lick sleeve for engineering this product!
Kristen R.
The lick sleeve is a total mental lifesaver for my sensitive yellow lab. He just had TTA surgery and I knew the cone would cause him extra stress so I did a ton of research on how to provide him with the best tools for a successful recovery. The lick sleeve came highly recommended during my research and went a ahead and purchased it. My dog has not once tried to go after his incision while it’s on him. It’s easy to put on and I’m confident that he’s comfortable wearing it, it’s soft and has enough stretch without falling off. I purchased the large and it fits my 72lb boy perfect. I do have to roll the bottom up a tad, but the fit is prefect otherwise.

This was a life-saver for my pup who went through TPLO surgery. She wore the sleve for first two weeks. Although she did lick it at times it was only wet on the outside not where it touched her skin. The only thing that was a problem was when i put it on her right leg it did not fit correctly so i tuned it inside out and it fit perfect. I think it was labled incorrectly. Great product well made, and well worth the money!

My sweet boy had a much easier recovery by using the lick sleeve.

Our 2 year old dog was injured while roughhousing and blew out both knees. She had one surgery already and will have the other when she has recovered sufficiently. When a dog is already miserable and in pain, why subject them to the cone of shame on top of that, adding insult to injury. That would be fine if there wasn't another option...so I bought an inflateable collar that would prevent licking the wound...except it was not very useful, she figured out how to maneuver around it!
Then I found the Lick Sleeve online. It is fantastic! She wears it comfortably as it is super soft. She licks it but moisture doesnt go through! She can eat and drink without crashing into everything. The way I see it, she is already in pain and can't go run around and do much of anything right now, why not make it a bit more bearable? The sleeve is reversible, so I will be able to use it again for the next surgery.
Thanks for a really great product!

The lick sleeve kept our dog from licking and pulling stitches out of a cut on here. The neck donut did not stop her from pulling out one of the stitches.
Shari C.
I loved using it for her I didn't want to use that awful e-collar I did for a couple days just to make sure she would not lick her Incision. It has been 3wks, I keep it on her at night and when we are not home. It seems very comfortable for her.

This is the most amazing product!!
The backstory is that our pup is an 85 lbs., 6 years old male with some serious health issues who is not a fan of restraint. A few years previously, we had tried to use a plastic “Cone” and it was a disaster. It was SO big that he could not turn corners, get up and down the stairs without tripping, and it was constantly coming loose to where he could pull it off. Based on that experience and thinking a “Cone” was the only option, we were genuinely concerned about how we would be able to use one following his TPLO surgery.
My better half, brilliant human that he is, set out trying to locate an option. We came across soft Cones, and while we felt these would be better than the rigid plastic version, it still caused constraint around the neck, and we believed the dog would pull it off too. During the search, we ran across the Lick Sleeve site. After additional research, we asked our Veterinarian about it, and while he didn't exactly advocate for this alternative, he didn't think it would be more difficult than the plastic Cone solution they would provide either.
We went with the Lick Sleeve option, and it became our post-surgery savior! Not only did our pup not lick, but he also didn’t mind wearing it, which was a 180 turn from the Cone experience of years earlier. It wasn’t just less difficult; it was an elegantly simple solution. It is washable and hangs to dry, which doesn't take long. We did take it off twice to wash it and then again for 20–30-minute periods here and there when we were available to closely monitor the dog, but otherwise it did not appear to hinder the healing process at all. His wound has completely healed, and it looks great! I will share that there is a trick to ensuring proper attachment when going out for relief breaks, and we ended up just taking it off for those breaks. But if you get confused, just reach out to the Lick Sleeve team.
And speaking of the Lick Sleeve team – they are fabulous and provide top notch customer support. They even checked back in with us to ensure we had all the information we needed and were comfortable with their product. Honestly, that was highly reassuring. This solution took so much stress off all of us!
Thank you for this product, LICK SLEEVE. I have washed and packed our sleeve for any future use…never to “Cone” again!

My dog needed to have two TPLO surgeries consecutively due to bilateral ACL tears! The Lick Sleeve was our saving grace. Our orthopedic veterinary surgeon’s office sent us home with a Lick Sleeve as well as a traditional e-collar. They recommended to continue to use both, together, until or unless we could be confident he would not attempt to get to his incision in any way. He behaved himself perfectly the entire time his incision needed to be protected, we were able to completely forego the big plastic cone and trust that his incision would he protected all thanks to the Lick Sleeve. I purchased a second one right away so that I could continue to have one to wear whenever I needed to wash one and just switch them out. I love that they’re universal for each side just by turning them inside out. We were able to make it through all 6 weeks we needed to wear them with the 2! He didn’t mind having it on, it didn’t seem to he uncomfortable or in his way at all and stayed on him at all times. Plus, they are so cute on him like sweatpants so I might have him wear them later just because!! Also, for anyone who may look into alternative makers of sleeves for this purpose that may be less expensive, in my opinion, the Lick Sleeve is 100% worth the price. It is quality material, lightweight, yet not to thin. We had ordered some others that I wanted to try, but they were heavy material and tighter so they were not going to work for this purpose without irritating the incision and they would be too uncomfortable. The Lick Sleeve is the best option for post operation recovery we have experienced. Although, I should hope we won’t have any more injuries and I won’t need them again, if I do, this is what I would use!
Monica B.
The Lick Sleeve was worth the money. We tried to deal with the cone, bought another product, and came back to the Lick Sleeve because he kept getting at the incision and licking it open. We could have saved ourselves time, frustration, and money if we’d started with this product. It was comforting to him too as you can see from his pic sleeping in it. It was easy to put on and take off when he went outside to do his business. I recommend this product.

This product is an absolute God send! My 114 lb German Shepherd/Rottweiler mix had surgery to fix a torn ACL on her right hind leg & the vet told us to use the “Cone of misery/Cone of shame” if she started licking/chewing at her incision. We were hoping she wouldn’t mess with her wound but as expected she did, so on the cone went. It was a nightmare with her banging into things & trying to remove it not to mention she couldn’t eat or drink with it on. I ordered the Lick Sleeve on a Tuesday (day her bandage came off) and didn’t expect it to arrive until Friday, but to my and my husband’s surprise and relief it arrived a day early on Thursday. It was so easy to put on her and stays in place even while she moves. She seems comfortable wearing it which is a huge plus. Spend the money and I promise you it will be worth it to keep your sanity while your fur baby heals! This is a genius product!
Kevin H.
Our Lily had ACL surgery and had never worn the “cone of shame”. We did buy a soft cone a few weeks before surgery. She didn’t like it. Read about your product and decide to try it. Wow it was great. Easy on/off. Definitely recommend your product over the “cone of shame”

Most helpful thing we got for our dog’s recovery from TPLO surgery!
Mary Z.
Our dog had ACL surgery and the vet said it is critical that she doesn’t lick the wound because it will get infected with saliva. She had the cone on after surgery and I felt so bad because she was already in pain and uncomfortable. We left it uncovered in the house because we were able to watch her. We put the sleeve on when we had to leave her unsupervised … and it gave us peace of mind that she couldn’t lick it while we were out. The vet was against an elastic sleeve that constricted her movement. So this was perfect. It covered the stitches but was not tight. It also kept it clean when walking her outside after it rained and was muddy. We just got her staples removed. the air drying along with the sleeve when we were not there to watch her…helped her heal perfectly! It’s a great alternative to the cone !!!
Shannise T.
The sleeve has been helpful during this second round of TPLO surgery. Sizing is accurate and the YouTube videos on how to wrap are helpful as well.
Robyn S.
It does a great job
M Clare Q.
My dog had major leg surgery and recovery was slow. She loves to “help “ a wound by licking which we all know doesn’t help at all. The lick sleeve was a great transition from a cone and I still pop it in when she’s left alone in case boredom hits. The company were fantastic in changing sizes when the initial size didn’t fit. Highly recommend!
Brenda M.
We have an older large dog that had TPLO surgery. He was sent home with THE CONE.
He was so depressed. Recovering from surgery is difficult enough, but the cone made it 10 x's
Worse. He wouldn't eat, he wouldn't drink, and didn't want to move. I was lucky enough to come across the Lick Sleeve. The staff was so helpful and explained everything. From the moment we put the Lick Sleeve on and took that cone off, it was a different dog. Eating, drinking and just all around happy guy. I highly recommend this product!
Teresa Q.
The Lick Sleeve has been a game changer for us! My GSD had a TPLO done 2 years ago and it was very difficult keeping the incision covered. The cone was a disaster and created more problems. They ended up having to do a plate removal this week and we were prepared this time! The Lick Sleeve has made a HUGE difference in post operative care! THANK YOU for designing this!!! My only suggestion is to buy 2 so you can wash one while using the other. Highly recommend this!!!
Shannon B.
I purchased this for our lab when she had her ACL repair surgery. We put it on her at night so she can't lick, scratch or bite at her incision. So far, it has worked great and she doesn't mind wearing it.
Wanda T.
Dog does not like the sleeve but the owner loves it.
Elizabeth C.
Licksleeve has been so helpful for our dog post ACL surgery. She was bumping into everything with the cone on all day. This sleeve allows her to have a little comfort in the day while she is supervised without the cone. She can even perform her post surgery exercises with the sleeve on! It’s been great! Thank you for creating it.
Laura B.
This has been a life saver. Dudley had a tumor removed, and the lick sleeve saved him from a cone. He is able to easily maneuver in it, and it’s easy to clean (pro tip-get two). I wish it came one size smaller though. Dudley is fairly skinny, and we wrapped the belly part around him twice so it would stay on, but it’s still just a tiny bit loose. He’s about 18 pounds for reference. 10/10 high recommend though. Pricey but worth it.
Lauri K.
I’m buying another one for when one is in the wash! Awesome product!

My Great Pyrenees had a TPLO surgery. At first, I didn't think the XL would fit her as she is a big girl at 135#s. After the bandages came off, I discovered that it fit her perfectly. This is a wonderful product that allows your dog some "no-cone" time. I never left her unattended while she was wearing the Sleeve. And, I doubt this would work for all dogs as some dogs are just going to lick or chew through it. However, my girl was fine and didn't mess with the suture area while she was wearing her Sleeve. It also aided in keeping the surgery site clean after those protective bandages came off. It also prevented her from getting sun-burned when she was allowed some outside time in her quarantine area. Overall, I was extremely happy with this product. Lastly, my only negative comment is that it was pricey.

I have a 70 pound standard Aussie that has suffered with multiple knee surgeries. I discovered the lick sleeve on his 4th surgery and it was a GAME CHANGER. I wish I would have known about it on his first surgery.
Barbara W.
My Doberman foiled every attempt and device to prevent him from chewing his TPLO surgery wound.
We purchased the lick sleeve, and it is the only thing that has worked. However it has to be used with an Elizabethan collar plus a Cone at night. During the day we have been able to use just the lick sleeve as long as we are watching him. We were at our wits end with this dog and although the sleeve can't be used alone with him. It has been a huge help to us to have him "Cone Free" until we go to bed, as he would charge around the house deliberately bashing the cone into things and splitting it, so it ended up being held together with Gorilla tape!!! He would also wedge it under the stretchers of our dinning room chairs and rip it off his head. It seems as if we broke the cycle with the sleeve during the day and he is very good now at night with the Collar and the cone and of course the sleeve.!!! Another draw back is we have to to take the sleeve off for him to pee. But believe me this is a small inconvenience compared to what we have been though. He is a scary smart dog, I'm not sure what we would have done without the sleeve.
Anne G.
The lick sleeve is so amazing. Our dog Buster had leg surgery 2 years ago and I used the cone. This time the surgery was in the other leg and during the confinement period I used the lick sleeve. It had made such a difference in Buster's and our recovery process. He is completely relaxed and resting. No licking !!!! Made a world of difference !
Craig N.
Our big dog Bitsy had her second surgery on her left leg. Instead of a collar we opted to purchase the Lick Sleeve. Best investment. Bitsy is so much happier, well as happy as a dog with 2 surgeries on one leg with 4 pins can be! We are happy because the surgeon is happy that even if Bitsy happens to lick her leg she won't get to the areas that are recovering. We would highly recommend it to any pet owner that needs to prevent their beloved animal from licking an area that is trying to heal.
Monica R.
Our Parson Russell Terrier fought 2 of us like a bull when we were trying to put a cone on her. We never did get the cone on her. Pajamas worked for a while until she chewed a hole in them. Bitter bandages she would tear off over and over again. Bitter spray didn't deter her. The Licksleeve has worked great! Small fit her perfectly. She has full range of motion, she can zoomie at full speed and jump normally. She doesn't seem to know she's wearing it. It is the only thing that has successfully long term stopped her obsessive licking. She has healed and her hair is growing back. Definitely worth the money.
Gregory L.
The Licksleeve is a wonderful tool to benefit our beloved doggies. Ours worked perfectly and made recovery very effective and doable. Thank you!
Racheal F.
To say the Lick Sleeve was a “lifesaver” would be an understatement. What a brilliant idea! Quality is topnotch. Fit great (Kory is ~54lbs, medium height). Shipped fast. Washed well and held its form/elasticity.
And most importantly it gave us a peace of mind (and him a needed break from the dreaded cone of shame) while Kory was healing from his TPLO surgery. After removing his bandage (after day 5) – the cone was while needed was unbearable, so I went online and discovered Lick Sleeve. It’s been 3 weeks today (7/12/2022) and the sleeve helped tremendously.
I highly recommend this to anyone seeking additional cover for the incision site during the initial two-week period needed to protect it. Note: During the day (while supervised), all Kory wore was the sleeve and he left it alone. At night (during the first 2wks), at the advice of both the Lick Sleeve team and our Vet, I still kept the cone on WITH the Lick Sleeve, despite how good Kory was during the day (which proved to be best, as he slipped his cone one night! ). Despite this cone trick, his sleeve was still intact.
Hopefully I won’t need it for the other leg in the future, but if I do, I now have the Lick Sleeve which can be used on both rear legs…
Happy healing to all the other Dog Parents out there and trust me - you won’t be disappointed with your purchase.
Thank you again, Lick Sleeve Team!!!!

My labradoodle and I both love this product. She was wearing a cone after knee surgery and was miserable. I hated taking off and putting the cone back on several times a day. I bought the sleeve. It was easy to put on. I just rolled a cuff rather than cutting the fabric since it was too long. It washed beautifully. Great product!
michele W.
I bought this, last minute before my dogs TPLO surgery. Hes worn it a little bit, my dog has sensitive skin so when we found the spots it had chafed we stopped for a little bit. Im very impressed it is reversible so when he has his second tplo surgery we will be able to use it more than just for this surgery. He doesnt seem to mind it and we just roll the bottom part of it up so hopefully if my other dog ever needs it he can wear it also. It really is a neat thing to have. Saves him always needing to have his cone on until the stitches come out.
Tony H.
My black lab just recently had knee surgery. It seems like she likes the lick sleeve much more than the cone of shame. She does have a very small waist, so I do have to check it often to make sure that the sleeve is in the proper position and hasn't slipped down over her rear end.
Sharon R.
Finally , after 2 years of trying several sleeves this is a blessing .
Kinley has chewed & torn off many items . She doesn’t mind this one & is very comfortable.
Keith K.
My dog ended up not needing surgery after all but he loved the lick sleeve ! I think it comforted him. He let me put it right on him with no problem and wore it without any problems.
Dawn
100% recommend this instead of a cone!! My dog had TPLO surgery & wore it for 14 days & it was a savior. Not only is it more comfortable for my dog & prevents her from licking her wound, it prevented my other dogs from licking it too! No dog wants to feel crappy & be uncomfortable with a cone on their head too, so this was the best alternative! Thank you lick sleeve, you made my dogs 14 days easy & comfortable.
Diane F.
I have a 20 lb dog that had TPLO surgery and had gotten to his stitches. This sleeve saved me. It’s much more sane than the E cone. He did manage to slip it off 3-4 times which was disappointing. I would like to see the upper opening smaller to prevent that from happening.
Danielle B.
This is a game changer. Our baby is 4 days post op and it arrived today (we discovered it the night of surgery and quickly ordered!). There’s a bit of sticker shock but after battling with the plastic cone, soft and flexible cone, inflatable cone, and 2 sets of pants for her that my husband tried to make bc she was so upset about the cones, the Lick Sleeve arrived. And finally a peaceful calm has settled over our home, which was formerly a bit stressful given our sweet baby girl who moaned and cried with any attempt at a cone. Thank you Lick Sleeve. You’ve saved a bit of our sanity. It’s hard to watch your baby feel any sort of suffering or angst and this product is a game changer. We are SOOOO glad we found you!!!! ❤️
Dianne D.
This worked great. It meant no cone for surgery on back left knee. Stayed clean. Per instructions, it did stretch a little and I adjusted twice in a week which was simple with the buckle. It was long and I just folded it up above the ankle and it stayed that way. I would highly recommend.
Laurie M.
This is the 2nd CCL surgery for our boy & he did so much better with Lick Sleeve. No infection s this time around. We had to return the first one since he was in between sizes. The medium worked out great! Very satisfied. Thank you Lick Sleeve!
Thomas K.
Levi went thru a terrible accident and he was almost healed except one spot he would not leave alone and this sleeve was our miracle worker!
Cheryl J.
First time to use a Lick Sleeve and would highly recommend it. Our sweet Stella has never done well with the protective collars and this was such a great alternative.
Christie P.
Jax is a Great Dane… with a great big head that came with an even bigger cone when he had knee surgery. Our vet told us about the lick sleeve and we are the biggest fans! What a difference this made for Jax’s recovery. It is so easy to get on and off for potty breaks, prevented him from licking the stitches and saved our walls from his big cone head!
Terrye G.
Harry had a TPLO on June 15th and wore the lick sleeve from the time he left the surgery for 2 weeks. He adapted beautifully. We never needed the collar. It was comfortable and easy to work with when we walked outside. I highly recommend the lick sleeve to anyone having this procedure.
Mike M.
I purchased this lick sleeve after searching the internet in hopes of finding an alternative to the dreaded neck cone for my dog after his surgery. It appeared your product would suit my dogs needs and was an interesting option to the cone. My wife felt it was very pricey with the high cost of shipping for such a small item and she couldn’t believe that I had made this purchase for the price…..
However, we are now eight days after his surgery and our poor doggy has been a real trooper in battling through his pain but this amazing lick sleeve has been a true blessing for him and us as well…. This is a awesome product that has been extremely helpful in his recovery thus far.
The Vet who did the surgery said that he really liked this lick sleeve and he used it to cover the incision instead of bandages. We have one more full week before returning to the Vet for our dogs stitches to be removed and we are not sure if he will continue to have us use the lick sleeve at that point or not?? But if we do need to continue to use it that beats the neck cone hands down any day…
HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT FOR PETS WITH LEG SURGERY NEEDS….
Cameron Y.
Our Dalmation Violet is the sweetest girl but man does she always seem to party a little to hard. She had a wound on her knee from some ruff and tumble fetch that just wouldn't heal. Lick sleeve to the rescue! Not only did it heal but man did she look cute in her little grey pant leg lol. 11/10 would recommend. Only recommendation would be to aire on the side of a smaller size. The L almost was too big.
Macie T.
This is a amazing product for leg injuries/ surgery. I definitely sized to big for my dog but it still works! She has super long legs but it very fit so I recommend sizing down if you have a fit/skinny dog.
Nancy E.
I would put the Lick sleeve in the "Miracle" category! My very active Aussie was struggling with her cone after knee surgery. Besides the cone being uncomfortable and frustrating we had trouble getting a good fit. The Lick sleeve's comfortable fabric and snug fit calmed her down immediately and we were able to remove the cone as long as we kept a watch on her. She hasn't even tried to remove the sleeve. It was also nice that it covered, warmed and protected her shaved leg. She had definitely been feeling vulnerable. I didn't expect the sudden improvement would last- but it has. Now that she has had her stitches out I am keeping it on her to protect her for a little bit longer. This is the best product I have ever purchased for my pup. I highly recommend it .
Mary L.
We started out with the cone from hell while waiting for the lick sleave to come in. Our coonhound was beyond happy to get out of the cone and into the sleave. The sleave worked like a charm. She did not bother the incision at all. Has been wearing the sleave for two weeks. Recommend getting two so you can keep one on while washing/cleaning one
Highly recommend trying this product
George M.
Just what we needed. HervLick granuloma healed up quickly for nice she stopped licking it. She was much more comfortable in this than a cone.
Alicia L.
We got the LickSleeve before our dog Dukes TPLO surgery and used it immediately. It works great! He didn’t lick hardly at all and didn’t mind wearing the sleeve. We took it off when he went to the bathroom just to make it easier but if he did pee on it a little we just washed it and it dried up quickly. It does stretch out a little so we ended up buying a smaller size, but honestly it was nice having 2. Highly recommend.
Jennifer W.
After our dog’s ACL repair we were told she would need to wear a cone for at least 2 weeks. The lick sleeve allowed her to be more free and for us not to constantly worry or watch her for that time. Even in the heat of summer, the sleeve didn’t make her too hot. A great idea!
Merritt O.
Bruno hated his cone, he ran into every doorway. I was hesitant to use the lick sleeve, but it came highly recommended so I bought one. Bruno seemed so much happier without his cone and his staples were protected! I would recommend this product to others!
Alla M.
Helping a lot!!!! Very easy to put on, very easy to wash. My dog has no problems to have it on!!!
Thank you .

We have 3 great pyrenees and our very active 2 year old female had surgery 3 wks ago for a torn ligament in her knee. i will never use a cone again! With the lick sleeve on, she never tried to get to the wound at all. i could also use the strap to help her get up the first couple of days after surgery. i ended up buying 2 because the first one got soiled and i had to put the cone on because the sleeve is recommended to be hand washed and line dried. she did manage to get it unclipped one night ( no idea how unless i didnt secure it all the way) but still was not able to get to the incision to lick or scratch it. i highly recommend this. no more bruises on my legs from them running into me with the cones!!!
sorry, i dont have pics, she only wore it the first 2 weeks until the staples came out.
Brett F.
Our girl got to rest comfortably after TPLO surgery with the Lick Sleeve. It also helped protect her incision. This product is a game changer with the healing process. We had extra piece of mind knowing she had the sleeve on her healing leg.
Kristen D.
Great option to have post surgery. So much better then cone and kept wound safe while she still licked sleeve. Our dog is 150lbs and fit well but did have chaffing where belly meets leg so that became a concern. Overall highly recommend
Lezli M.
Great alternative to cone under supervision!
Terri S.
Lifesaver! Couldn’t imagine my GSP healing as well as she did from ACL surgery without the lick sleeve. It allowed her to heal comfortably without the stress of wearing the dreaded “cone”. Maybe we were lucky, but she wasn’t bothered by the sleeve at all and this a dog that will not tolerate wearing anything but her collar. All veterinarians need to carry this product!
Diane L.
Saves putting on a cone!
Natalie B.
I bought this lick sleeve for my dog Moose following TPLO surgery as the sleeve the vet gave us kept falling off and was a lot less comfortable than this sleeve ended up being for Moose - truly made the whole recovery process easier. In addition, customer service is incredible. I accidentally ordered a small and they immediately followed up their logistics partner to see if they can still change it to a large in time and they did.
One thing to note is that I found holding up the extra material when he goes out to relieve himself doesn't work as well as tying it up in a not on his back. It's still doesn't work 100% and you will likely get pee on it some days but the sleeve washed easily but I did find that at least worked most times and made it easier in case you also had to deal with a leg sling on walks as it was less to worry about. Highly recommend this product, really seems comfortable and much sturdier than others out there.
Albert P.
Must be comfortable, my dog has not tried to remove it and seems totally fine with it. It doesn’t interfere with her movements and was relatively easy to put on and adjust, despite her being a total wiggle machine when she is being touched or groomed.
Christine S.
My pup is a licker and part terrier so she is determined! Thank goodness my vet as well as the TPLO FB page recommended I take a look at the Licksleeve. It is great! I still have to use a cone when she is alone or unsupervised but this helped save my sanity. Thank you thank you!
Amy K.
This was perfect after TPLO surgery! No worrying about licking and chewing the incision, super easy to use, and very comfortable for the pup!
deborah m.
This has been a godsend for us. Our pup had two surgeries on her back leg and once all the stitches were removed she began to lick it and cause issues with her healing. This sleeve prevented that behavior. It is easy to put on and easy to get off, she did not mind it at all and it is SO MUCH better than the collar. Thank you for this great product.
Catherine R.
Absolute game changer! My dog had ACL surgery and was facing 2 weeks with a cone. He hates confined spaces and fights a cone which is the last thing that would help with his recovery. Desperate, I searched for alternatives and stumbled on the Lick Sleeve. It has allowed him the rest he needs to recover. Thank you!!!
Jessica H.
At first I thought I was attaching it wrong and ordered the wrong size, but you simply need to follow the video directions. : ) This has been such a help to avoid the cone as Sophie whines in them. They are cumbersome and horrible! We ordered a softer version of a cone for backup that we found “just in case” but didn’t need it, and sent it back. This washes easily and adjusts as needed when it stretches. You may say it’s more than a cone and too expensive…IT IS WORTH THE INVESTMENT FOR WEEKS OF REQUIRED AVOIDANCE OF A LEG WOUND.
Kathryn B.
Our dog suffers with skin issues (cysts/wounds). This time he had one pop up on his leg/thigh. He wouldn't leave it alone and we were struggling to find a way to keep his leg covered and protected for healing. The Lick Sleeve was a great option and very easy to get on and off. The sleeve itself did not bother him at all and provided a barrier from both him and other elements. Highly recommend!
Dianne M.
I love the "lick-sleeve". I really needed some way of keeping my dog from licking her wound and this worked fabulously!
Lorie W.
Even though I’m sad that my dog needs knee surgery, I’m relieved she can recuperate with the Lick Sleeve instead of a cone which I’m sure would just add to her frustration. I have been putting the Lick Sleeve on her daily leading up to her surgery and she is very comfortable and doesn’t even notice she’s wearing it. Also, the ease of ordering, receiving my order in record time and excellent customer service goes above and beyond.
Jackie L.
This product is AWESOME! My dog had leg surgery and kept picking at the wound. We had a pillow collar for him but he kept finding ways to get to the incision and re-infected the leg. We replaced the pillow with Lick Sleeve. He is so much happier! He still tries to lick the wound but can't get to it with this on his leg! Great product! Easy to use and protects the wound! Thanks!!
Jon G.
Works great for my GSD
Sean l.
The lick sleeve is an amazing product, probably the most usefull item to have after your dog is recovering from surgery. It stayed on untill I took it off, adjustable, didn't bother my dog at all. If your paying $2000+ this is a very good investemt for your pup, trust me don't be cheep and get the $30 one from amazon. The material feels very comfortable but it will stretch, if your pup measures at the bottom end of a large, get the medium. I had this issue, called customer service and they had a medium at my door the next day. Everytime I'm at the vet I always recommend this product! From the product to the customer service I would 110% recommend.

Our sweet rescue pup, Frankie, had is second surgery and at only 14 months old. The Lick Sleeve was a great suggestion from the surgeon. Frankie was a happy pup, from the first night home and healed very well (and lick free).
We will recommend to all of our friends.
Thank you.

Thank you!!! This is a million times better than the cone. Arya had a TPLO on her hind leg, and a mass removed on her front. The Lick Sleeve is super easy to put on and off. We don’t wear it out on potty walks, it gives her a chance for fresh air and she can’t lick while we walk. Very flexible comfy fabric, clips are sturdy, but still easy to undo. We did modify the ankle on the front, cut a 3 inch slit for easy over her paw. Fabric doesn’t tear or run. Also, shout out to your customer service on the phone. When I needed the second one shipped, phone calls were made to make sure I had the Lick Sleeve before I picked her up from the surgery. Thank you again for making healing a little more tolerable. I have already recommended to my vet and rehab center.

This is the best thing ever. It made
my dog much more comfortable post surgery. It definitely aided in his recovery time. He was walking around with cone like a battering ram. Our vet saw the lick sleeve and thought it was great. I sent Sherwood Family Pet Clinic in Sherwood Oregon all the information on the Lick Sleeve. Maybe they purchase some from you.

This is such a better option than an E-Collar. Great product, though pricey. Ordered an XL for our German Shepard/ Akita who is 97 lbs for after TPLO surgery. It was a little big though I’m glad I order the XL. Based on the size chart she was on the higher range for the L with the exception of the weight.

Game changer! My dog had surgery and was required by the vet to wear a cone for 3 weeks. Luckily we found the Lick Sleeve and she didn’t have to wear the cone at all. Made her recovery so much easier!

TLDR:
The sleeve provides complete leg coverage, is easy to use, and stays well on a dog within reasonable use.

This product was recommended by my veterinarian to help with my dogs Acral Lick Granuloma. She is a rescue dog and has excessively groomed the left rear hock area on her leg, but a hock sock won't give the coverage I need to allow it to completely heal. The Lick Sleeve fits well, is easy to use, and stays securely on within reason. I happen to have two dogs who love to play wrestle, and she is able to wiggle out of it when they really are rolling around and jumping on each other. When she had it off, she then chewed on the plastic clip and it will no longer release. However, the adjustable strap can be removed from the clip, so I am able to still put the sleeve on and off easily enough. I did purchase a second because the working clip does make it easier, now I have a back-up for when I wash the sleeve.

The lick sleeved worked very well. I thought I had to get a different size and the customer service team was very helpful in sending out the different size very quickly. Great experience all the way around.

Working well for my border collie mix who just had TPLO surgery. Easy to put on and take off and it keeps her from licking the wound.

My Boxer is 78#; the large fit perfectly; while using it, she never made an effort to lick and saved me from having to watch her constantly. I did use a collar when she was left alone for more than 30 minutes or so. Absolutely the best investment I made for her.

Love this...what a fantastic product. My dog had ACL surgery, used it on her knee instead of collar. Worked like a charm for two weeks.

This Lick sleeve is easy to put on and take off .
With all the special exercises and messages needed after surgery it is great to have a product that works this well. Had absolutely no problem with my dog wanting to take it off or chew on it. I was able to remove it to check the incision and apply ointment as needed. Easily cleaned and dried to keep the incision clean infection free. I bought two with NO regrets so I could have a clean one on my dog while washing and drying the other.

Our older lab had a sarcoma removed from his hind leg. Wish I had known about the lick sleeve before we started the adventure.
Came home from surgery with the cone, which he manged to remove. Ate stitches out, got infected, back in for more surgery. Lick Sleeve arrived the next day. Left with lick sleeve cone and inflatable collar on while we were out for a couple of hours. Came home to cone literally taken apart, collar gone - Only the lick sleeve survived intact. What a literal lifesaver!
I don't know why EVERY vet performing hind limb surgery does not either stock this product or recommend that clients purchase as part of the presurgical consult. An amazing product!

We had a great experience using the Lick Sleeve for our rescue border collie mix's CCL surgery. We placed the sleeve on her immediately after surgery. She did not try to remove or lick her stitches through the sleeve. I would recommend this for any dog recovering from CCL surgery.

Great Product, works as advertised. We have a large Dog that had TPLO surgery and purchased the sleeve to keep him more comfortable. It was helpful to be able to use it as a walking assist in addition to keep him away from his incision. Totally worth the money to keep him more relaxed and OUT OF A CONE!

My dog hated her cone so this sleeve was a lifesaver. She wouldn’t sleep with her cone on, so we used the sleeve and found it to be very reliable. She’s a 40 lb pitbull and I ended up getting the Large. It was a looser fit on her leg and a bit too long but I just rolled up the leg. The medium also worked for her size but was more fitted and that seemed to be a bit painful to put on her surgery incision in the first couple of weeks.
I still used her cone if she was left completely alone because I didn’t fully trust my tenacious dog. But this sleeve was used 75% of the time of her recovery and she was less anxious and more comfortable because of it. Definitely worth it !

The lick sleeve has worked fantastically! So much better than the cone of shame.

Our dog had to get patellar luxation surgery, so we used the Lick Sleeve to protect her incision while she recovered. We love it - it worked fantastic to keep her incision protected and prevented her from licking it. We also love that it's reversible, as she'll be having the same surgery on the other leg in the next few months. Absolutely worth the investment!

Thank you for inventing this product. Our 8 y.o pup, Bristol, had surgery to remove a mast cell tumor (she's doing great now and is cancer free, happily). She is very clever with the E-collar and managed to use her head to create a point with it to scratch at her incision which was very long down her hind right leg. The lick sleeve saved the day. It was lightweight and comfortable for her and she never worried at her incision. I'm bringing it to her surgical follow up to show her surgeon in case he has other patients who are not loving the E-collar who want this as an alternative (or something to alternate with the E-collar.) Great product!

Our doggy orthopedic told us about lick sleeve. To avoid the cone of shame for 2 weeks is reason enough to purchase. This is an ingenious invention and I’m thrilled to know about it. Thank you for making CCL surgery easier on JujuBeans parents. Great product. Measure before purchasing

It’s perfect, ACL surgery site protected from floors, licking. It gets plenty of sir for skin to heal.

The lick sleeve was a good alternative to the cone, we did not feel our dog would do well wearing a cone. Our dog did not seem to care that the sleeve was on her and gave us peace of mind that she would leave her leg alone. It did slip off her butt sometimes bit stayed on well for most of the day. We did find it easier to take off her for walks

Best invention and investment ever. No cone of shame. She love ❤️ she
