My boy is a 100 lb baby. He had surgery on his leg and the vet suggested the Lick Sleeve. The sleeve worked well during the day when we monitored him. Overnight if he tossed and turned, the strap over his back would wiggle off and he would have access to licking his leg. It served its purpose and he was grateful to not wear the cone of shame.

Love this product! I bought a spare, in fact. So much nicer for the dog instead of a cone of shame. I love that it can be used on front and hind legs. Washes beautifully. Just be sure to measure before ordering. I highly recommend this product.
Kayleigh S.
I bought the Lick Sleeve to cover a “hot spot” that my dog would not stop licking. It’s been great! It causes my dog so much less anxiety than the cone collar! Also, now that I have the hang of using it, I can get it on her in about 30 seconds — very easy. I am still using the traditional cone collar at night so the affected area can breathe, but I use the sleeve during the day. Great product and far superior to the DIY versions of the same thing I was trying before I got it. Thank you, Lick Sleeve!
Cynthia K.
Invaluable for our Duke who just had TPLO surgery.
Nancy K.
This is a fabulous product. My dog cannot tolerate things on her neck but she kept chewing on her surgical wound. The Lick Sleeve saved us!!!I am so grateful for this product.
Cara M.
So happy i purchased this lick sleeve! after my dogs TPLO surgery it gave me some relief knowing he could have a break from his cone and can be more comfortable for his recovery and i can be worry free!
Summer
At first I was wondering if it really was a “need” after TPLO surgery but I’m so glad my husband convinced me we should get it. It was peace of mind for the first few weeks of recovery, my dog didn’t mind it, and I would absolutely buy it again.
Donovan S.
Great product - only challenge is that my dog has figured out how to remove it overnight
Lenore S.
It’s very easy to put on, she only got it off once … my fault for not tightening it …. Very happy with it! The cone was a real drag!
Denise H.
This is the best product , it is so much better than having her use the e-collar ! Love this sleeve !
Robert G.
My 8 year old yellow lab recently had TPLO surgery on her back leg. What a relief for her to be able to protect her incision with the Lick Sleeve versus the Victorian clown collar.
She was a much happier dog because of it.
Highly recommend!!!!
Elena S.
Helps our boy in his postop period.
Easy to apply.
However, wish it would be made from more steady and durable material.
Our dog is 100 lbs and very strong, so the licksleeve might not last long.
Timothy K.
My heeler is grateful for the lick sleeve, the cone of shame was a bad time lol
Katelyn C.
Lick sleeve has been a life saver for us during Paisleys TPLO recovery. Totally worth the investment for her comfort and the protection of her incision. Recommend 1000x over.
Angela W.
My dog is so depressed in a cone and this was her second knee surgery of the year, so when the vet suggested Lick Sleeve, I immediately ordered one for overnight delivery. It was a bit difficult to measure her because she refused to stand up, but the size I ordered fit fairly well and I was able to shorten the leg with scissors. She has managed to get it off twice so I’d recommend tightening the straps occasionally. All in all, this has been so much better than the cone. I would definitely recommend!
Robyn M.
The Lick Sleeve is a great alternative to e-collars. It had great quality fabric and craftsmanship. The material felt comfortable. The company's customer service is great. The only thing preventing a 5th star is that it's a little cumbersome with a male dog. You have to unwrap/rewrap it each time he goes potty. If I could have done 4.5 stars, I would have done that. Great purchase.
karen d.
My 110 pound Newfoundland came home from ACLsurgery with a cone and it took her about three minutes to get it off.
Thank heavens my vet had recomended the lick sleeve. She hasn’t bothered her incision . It definitely has made recovery easier for both of us
I got the X-Large and it has been the correct size
I can’t say enough good things about it
Fred E.
It worked great on our dog after her knee surgery... protected her wound while being comfortable on the pup!
Catalina S.
My beautiful Ana has Cushings Disease. An injury or scratch takes longer than normal to heal. She had a wound her inner thigh and back of the leg that she was licking every day and it was taking for ever to heal. The Lick Sleeve was the answer! She had it on for a little over a week and the wound is now healed. I should have ordered this sooner! It works great and she isn't bothered by the way it fastened at all. The fabric is breathable as well which helped with healing. This is a fantastic product!
Alicia A.
We are four days post-op and the lick sleeve has been great!
It fits well and has kept my dog from bothering her sutures at all. The leg was a bit long, but it worked well to just fold the end up. It is well made and seems to be comfortable for her. It also keeps our other dog from messing with the surgery site. I highly recommend!!
Jen R.
My Boxer had TPLO surgery and was unable to rest calmly or comfortably wearing the “cone of shame”. I ordered the lick sleeve and received it in 2 days. It fit perfectly and my dog was much more comfortable and relaxed. Washing was quick and easy, too. The lick sleeve helped ease some stress during the long and delicate recovery period.
Mary M.
Works like a dream, it was certainly a God send and we did not have to deal with the dreaded cone. I am telling everyone I see about it. My friend’s granddog has this surgery 6 yrs ago and it was a long horrible recovery, Drama has had a great two weeks since her surgery. It is well worth the price, best thing since sliced bread.
Thomas A.
Holly had surgery on her left knee last year and the Lick Sleeve was recommended to us by the surgeon. A great experience led to another Lick Sleeve when the right knee was operated on this month. Only 9 days post-op and the incision is nearly healed, no doubt because it has never been bitten at or licked. This absolutely makes the “cone of shame” obsolete.
Shelly O.
It works! My dog was so happy to have the cone removed. Hasn’t tried to remove the lick sleeve and doesn’t mind wearing.
jodi s.
definitely would tell everyone this is worth the money. i hate putting cones on my dogs. she had acl surgery.
Andrew N.
Our GSD recently had TLPO surgery. I wish I would have known about this before! It would have been nice to have immediately following her surgery. Very easy to put on my pup without making her move around too much. When I first opened it, I thought I had ordered the wrong side. But I learned that it was geniusly designed to go on either leg by simply turning it inside out. Check out their facebook or youtube pages for clear and easy instructions.
Our vet highly recommended Lick Sleeve. She says it's the only thing she trusts, besides the much-dreaded "cone of shame"! I just wish these were sold on Amazon, but I can't fault the company for that (Amazon is an absolute pain to deal with as a business).
Long story short, Lick Sleeve is amazing, and I've already recommended to several friends; some of which have pups getting ready for TLPO surgery. Get it before the procedure!

It’s perfect for our dog that had surgery on h the upper part of the leg and could not get bandages or anything to cover it while healing. This product worked perfectly and I was able to tap a wound pad on the inside for the bleeding. Great product highly recommend it, but I highly recommend buying 2 when you have to clean the only one you have.
Denise A.
Lily had Patella surgery after jumping around chasing butterflies and causing her Patella to pop in and out even after rest and meds it continued to luxate so decided to have surgery. I found the lick sleeve purely by accident and I'm so glad I did but not until she had pulled her stitches out and had staples put in place. I can't say what a life saver the lick sleeve was in keeping her tongue and teeth from the wound site
Catherine H.
This SAVED me and my Doodle from the dreaded cone, which did not go over well. Sutures out and the vet recommended we keep it on for another week as healing continues. THANK YOU!
Joe H.
Our beagle had TPLO surgery and this lick sleeve is more comfortable for her than a cone. We do have to watch her, she rubs up against our furniture to take it off.
james r.
Zoe had acl surgery and would have had to wear a cone to keep her from licking her incision if I had not purchased this sleeve. It works wonderfully well and she and I are both getting the rest from having to call her out for licking and/or chewing on the wound.
Megan M.
A game-changer for our sweet Bowie! After having surgery on his elbow, Bowie was so depressed having to wear his cone. It was such a helpless feeling and I was desperate to find a way to make his recovery more tolerable. Thankfully, I found the Lick Sleeve and as soon as Bowie had it on and we could remove his cone, he instantly seemed more like himself. Bowie’s recovery has been so smooth since and he just had a stellar checkup! We couldn’t be happier with our purchase and are recommending the Lick Sleeve to all of our friends with dogs! Thank you so much for making Bowie (and us) so much more comfortable!
Teresa B.
So much nicer than the cone. Our dog didn't seem bothered by it after a cruciate surgery. Expensive but worth it.
Carmen W.
Someone at the vet's office recommended Lick Sleeve following TPLO surgery as we were very concerned about having to use an e-collar on our nervous rescue dog. It has been a blessing! Using the e-collar, even for a short duration was a nightmare. Using the Lick Sleeve has allowed for a smoother and calmer recovery phase immediately post-op. We highly recommend it for anyone needing to guard a surgical area from licking or biting for their dog! Great product and very easy to use.
Catherine B.
Our dog Gracie is now one week post op from a TPLO. She is a chow chow who is mostly a quiet and no jumping dog. But, licking could be a big issue for her. She would tolerate the big plastic cone some but she would fight with it.
The lick sleeve gave us good options for her. We could put a Kong inflatable ring around her neck and the lick sleeve on. We could get her to settle down and sleep restfully for long stretches. She liked the sleeve and would wait patiently as we put it. I think it kept her bare leg warm.
I know it might not work for every dog depending on disposition, but for us it was outstanding.
Ryan O.
The lick sleeve is a good product. Shipping was very prompt and fast, and it’s well made with good materials and finish. I think this is a much more comfortable option than an e-collar.
My dod dig unfortunately lick/chew his stitches open a week after his tplo, as I took the sleeve off to wash it and left him unsupervised for about 10 minutes. This was not a reflection in anyway of the product, which I think is very good. Just be very careful with your pup if you need to clean the sleeve, either put the ecollar back on or watch them like a hawk. Don’t make my mistake!
Beth C.
After having a benign tumor removed on her leg, our dog would not leave the site alone, even after it had healed. She had been wearing 1-3 cones for months. When I saw the lick sleeve, I thought it was worth a try. It works wonderfully and doesn’t seem to bother her at all. We alternate with the cone for night time, and nothing when we are able to keep an eye on her. Thank you!
Joy E.
The lick sleeve is a perfect cover to prevent my dog from licking her leg and it is definitely comfortable for her. I would highly recommend it.
Meagan T.
Really helpful for my boy's TPLO recovery. Can't use it at night though because he's figured out how to wiggle out of it but daytime use means no cone and that makes everyone happier.
Amy P.
The Lick Sleeve has been an absolute life saver for us after our Hugo had his TPLO surgery a couple weeks ago! He has not had to wear the cone of shame at all during recovery and we can feel confident that his incision will stay clean as it heals. When we had the staples removed the vet commented on how well it had healed in 8 days! This product is amazing! Easy to put on with high quality materials, also quite easy to clean.
Thank you!
Paul B.
An excellent solution for our dog. The sleeve is easy to fit and completely covered the ACL/TPLO incision. So much better for us and our dog.
Renee W.
Not only do I love the lick sleeve for my dog that just had TPLO surgery, but the customer service is outstanding. I ordered the wrong size and emailed asking about an exchange. They emailed (and called to ensure I received the email!) to say they would be more than happy to exchange or return, no problem. They were kind enough to ask if my pup already had surgery and got the correct size to me at no charge in 2 days, before I had even shipped the incorrect size back! Really amazing customer service that went above and beyond when my pup needed it. Thank you!
Valarie D.
For the most part, it works. Dog still was able to get lick sleeve saturated from licking the sleeve. Also, our dog is missing her left hind leg, so it does slip off after awhile. I tried attaching a strap to her collar but that didn't work. Perhaps some R & D could be done for pets that are missing limbs. Thank you.
Judith H.
1000% better than any type of cone…..much easier on the dog!
Easy to put on/take off
My only suggestion is to somehow make it as easy for male dogs to pee as girl dogs. Because I haven’t mastered using the strap for my boy as a support I remove it each time.
Overall GREAT investment…..can’t imagine having to use any cone for extended period of time.
Diana K.
The Lick Sleeve has been an excellent alternative to the E collar for our sweet girl during her recuperation from a CCL surgery.
Elijah R.
Amazing product! Highly recommend.
Christine C.
Franklin fractured his left rear femur requiring surgical rod and wiring. Incision a foot long and required NO LICKING for four weeks. Options were cone or lick sleeve...Franklin UNANIMOUSLY voted for the latter!
Petra M.
Fantastic product! Cannot imagine going through TPLO surgery recovery without it.
The fabric is perfect and allows air flow. Would like to possibly see greater adjustment options for the "belt", because my short legged but stocky dog fit a size medium perfectly on the leg, but then the belt part was too short to wrap twice and too long to only loop once. We made it work and I still swear by this product. I highly recommend it. And customer service was top notch!
The fact that it is reversible and will work when the other leg needs to have surgery is an added bonus.
Barbara M.
Overall it’s a great idea & prevents licking. My dog couldn’t put weight on the leg operated on. Very very difficult to put on while dog laying down & uncomfortable for dog who’s already in pain. It really takes two people. I live alone and dreaded putting it on.
Michael B.
Seem to work good and keeps our puppy from licking her stitches and no cone to ware!
Kim B.
I almost skipped out on this sleeve even though the surgeon suggested it. I just could not justify another purchase, even though my dog is worth it!! In the end, just days before her surgery, we ordered it and it was here on the day she came home. BEST DECISION WE MADE. It has given me so much piece of mind by allowing me to actually get some sleep at night and the freedom to step away from the home knowing she is protected AND comfortable. I have not needed to use a cone. The lick sleeve (and a $30 security camera) have been the best two purchases I have made for this TPLO recovery!
Andrea W.
My dog had a small wound on her outer thigh that she could not leave alone, licking it constantly until it doubled in size and was an angry mess. Vet visits, several different meds, and even laser treatment failed because of her incessant licking. She cannot tolerate a cone, so I was desperate. Then I found LickSleeve and it has been an absolute godsend. She doesn't even know it's there and it's so easy to use. And her wound is finally almost healed! I highly recommend LickSleeve.
Emaline E.
Great alternative to a cone! My dog just had TPLO surgery and this has been a lifesaver. Would highly recommend this product. The product shipped day of and came in 2 days. Thank you!
Steve G.
The Lick Sleeve fit perfectly and my dog seems to like wearing it. Very happy with the purchase!
Whitney P.
The lick sleeve is amazing. Helped my dog heal from surgery with his incision getting infected and he doesn’t mind wearing it. This is so much better than using an e-collar or cone.
Tammy K.
Gracie was sooooo happy when she was set free from her cone! Thank you so much! This sleeve was a God send!
Jill D.
Lick sleeve allowed me to not have to keep the cone on my dogs head so she couldn’t lick her knee incision. It fit loosely and was not irritating to her leg.
Jennifer O.
I am so glad i found this product before my Sammie’s surgery. It was so easy to take on and off and I even washed it several times during our usage and it held up. It never seemed to bother him and the vet even mentioned that the lick sleeve is the only brand of sleeve she recommends. I like that it’s reversible. The shipping was very fast too. Very impressed!
Savannah M.
Leading up to Easton's TPLO surgery, we were looking for something that could help keep her leg covered so that she didn't have to wear a plastic cone for weeks on end. We had looked on Amazon but didn't see anything that got great reviews or that would be secure enough. As soon as I saw the Lick Sleeve I ordered it right away. We tried it on her before surgery and she actually enjoyed wearing it! So the day she came home from surgery, we put the sleeve on her and it did exactly what we needed it to! We take it off for a few minutes, a few times a day but she wears it all day and even sleeps in it (so I don't have to worry about her licking while I'm sleeping). It has kept her incision extremely clean too so she can go and lay in the sun without getting any dirt or bacteria near the incision. I even bought a second one that she can wear while I'm washing the other. It was worth every penny and has been the biggest help during this long recovery process!
Debra M.
It was a great fit but unfortunately their dog (my daughter and her wife) had to be euthanized. The sleeve helped in the comfort. Thank you.
Carol H.
It's made well and stays in place. Now my challenge is to keep my dog from licking the lick sleeve.
Pearl S.
Really great product! Keeps my slurper away from his incision sight, good material and construct. Only caveat is that it slightly gets in the way of my male dogs junk, so I need to take it all the way off when we go outside for business. Otherwise it’s perfect!
Kim B.
After TPLO surgery my Goldendoodle needed something to keep her from licking her stitches. She cried wearing her cone, and she couldn’t get comfortable to sleep. The Lick Sleeve was definitely the answer. The homemade versions were not secure, but the design of the Lick Sleeve assures it will remain over the leg. It is also waterproof, so even if she does tries to get to it, it stays dry. I also like the fact that it isn’t tight-fitting, so air is still able to get to the incision. Highly recommend
Amanda A.
Our Emma Riot is the sweetest girl and she’s also the most stubborn. She’s had several surgeries and is a master at getting out of cones and protective wear. Our vet recommended the lick sleeve to us and it’s been amazing! It stays up and on and it’s been easy to wash when it gets funky. She had a large tumor removed from her leg and it’s very weepy so I’ve had to wash the lick sleeve nightly. I know the intent of the sleeve for most is so you don’t need the cone, but Emma can’t be trusted. This gives us peace of mind. I’m so thankful I found this product. Customer service has also been exceptional. I can’t recommend this enough!
Brittany H.
The price is totally worth it. The sleeve fits really well and actually stays on, even with our pup being more active than she should be. Highly recommend if your dog is having TPLO surgery.
Caroke S.
The lick sleeve was a life saver after my dog Pickles had TPLO surgery. The cone and blow up collars created additional stress as she could not get comfortable, plus she would manage to get them off or stuck partway around her head anyway. Using only the Lick Sleeve her wound healed up nicely and she left the incision alone to get the needed rest during those first two critical weeks of recovery.
sam c.
I was glad I made the choice for Lick Sleeve. So much better than a giant e- cone around my dogs head. With the sleeve he slept better and was easier to access food/water.
Steven R.
We were able to ditch the "cone" during the day! Our "Houdini" Field Spaniel, Spanky, did manage to wiggle out of it a few times so we could not leave him alone with just the Lick Sleeve on. At night the "cone" had to go back on. Still the Sleeve has made recovery much easier.
Rachel P.
Works great!!! Nice to give our dogs a break from the “cone of shame”.
Petra M.
The licksleeve made recovery after TPLO surgery so much easier for us! I genuinely cannot imagine having to go through that without this product! The design is fantastic, and the fabric is perfect for it's purposes: breathable and light.
I messed up my original order, and the customer service was absolutely fantastic as well.
Cori R.
Our year and a half year old Staffordshire Terrier rescue, Levi, had TPLO surgery 2 weeks ago and we had to find something for him to wear full time since we had to go back to work. I bought multiple other recovery sleeves from different companies and nothing worked. I saw the Licksleeve online and ordered it out of desperation. I’m so glad I did. It’s the best sleeve by far. He’s comfortable in it and it’s easy on and off. I highly recommend this sleeve for your 4 legged love one.

After several days post-ACL surgery where we were trying to keep our dog under 24/7 survelliance we learned of the Licksleeve and ordered one. Once we gained her confidence to put it on what a difference it has made in our situation as we then had trust in the sleeve to protect her leg and resume a more normal life. Definitely was money well spent.
Jackie C.
So happy I had this for my dog post TPLO surgery. It helps so much with not having to cone him all the time. Since they shave so much fur beyond just the leg/knee area, this really helps cover the area my dog tries to lick. Great invention!
Pablo J.
Our 4 year old lab just had TPLO surgery on her back left leg.She hates any kind of e collar or comfort collar and basically shuts down. My wife was on the ball in looking for some kind of surgical sleeve to make our girls experience a little better during recovery. We’re 12 days post op and received this in the mail 3 days post op. This has done an amazing job. Stops her from licking and protects the surgical wound/site as well as breathable. If you turn it inside out it’s meant for the right leg- brilliant idea. Washes well, stays in place and is made of some lightweight neoprene material. We chose size LARGE, our girl is only 58LBs- on the small size for a Labrador but this works well. We cuffed the leg as it was a little long and cut the strap a little short as there was a lot hanging over after securing the clasp. EXCELLENT IDEA! The he fact it’s made by an orthopedic veterinarian was a plus! Highly recommend this product.
Cheryl D.
While I love the lick sleeve and it’s a million times better than having to use a cone… wish I was made so it doesn’t have to be unwrapped for my boy to pee. It’s hard to unwrap, buckle it together and hold it up while trying to support him. He’s 3 days post surgery so needs support and the temporary removal is awkward.
Tyler T.
Have two male boxer pups - age 6. One of my pups had a small mass removed on his left hind leg. Required a decent amount of stitches, about a 3 inch incision. I’ve been using the lick sleeve since July 20th and it’s been working great. Covers the wound sufficiently and haven’t had to use the cone at all. The only part you need to be careful with is making sure it’s not too tight around their belly and make sure there is room for the penis on a male pup. The strap and buckle is awesome and makes sure it stays on him. Don’t really have to adjust it during the day.
Definitely recommend this product. I went ahead and bought two to have a backup while one of them is washing. 5/5
Monica F.
Very easy to use and comfortable for the dog.
Shannon L.
My 5.5 month old Bernese Mountain Dog had to have reconstructive knee surgery after a bite from a bigger unleashes dog. She was struggling with the cone irritating her neck and was so sad. My father found the lick sleeve after a brief google search. I’m so thankful he searched because this has changed her recovery. She is happy again and hasn’t really even tried to get after her knee. It is light weight, easy to put on and adjust. She moves about easily and overall just seems so much more comfortable. Brilliant product. Thank you so much!!

It’s obvious that this company really cares about our four-legged family members. First, the Lick Sleeve is an awesome product that works! It stays on and appears to be really comfortable. It’s easy to clean and dries quickly. Most importantly, it kept our lab from licking his wound for the entire postop period. His surgeon was amazed. Thanks Lick Sleeve!
Judy H.
We love the Lick Sleeve! Surgery was tough enough for our Sugar without adding weeks of wearing a cone into the mix. The sleeve protects her wound and is easily washable.
Suzanne T.
I love my neighbor's Newfie and she is not well cared for. The owner bought a lick sleeve for her by vet recommendation. Finally finished with the cone of shame. Works fabulous! But, poor Remi just cannot get a break. She started having a bladder issue and the Lick Sleeve was soaked. I could stand to see her with a stinky Lick Sleeve so I bought her another one. I changed her into a clean Lick Sleeve and she is a happy camper.
William D.
Great product. Purchased a lick sleeve from a competitor but it was difficult to put on my dog. Both feet had to be inserted and required bending the leg. Not a good idea following TPLO surgery. This product was easy to put on and take off, useful when inspecting the surgery and for washing it. It didn't require bending her leg. Highly recommend this product for any leg surgery.
Anjali O.
This sleeve has been great for my fur baby after cruciate ligament surgery. Putting it on is easy and he is very comfortable.
Keeley M.
Sabine came home from TPLO surgery with the usual 'cone of shame'. She did not stop whimpering for the following 12hrs. I put the Lick Sleeve on her and she almost immediately settled down. She is much happier in her recovery now. Thank you for this amazing product!
Caren J.
Lick sleeve was a lifesaver for our dog (and us) after her TPLO surgery. She did not have to wear the cone and the Lick Sleeve was much more comfortable for her.. The Lick Sleeve was easy to order, arrived quickly, and was simple to put on and off our dog. Definitely recommend!
Laura
A great advantage over the cone! Our dog is not thrilled to have it on, but she also wants to lick her incisions, so it is an acceptable compromise. She can sleep easy at night, and we don’t have to worry about her. We love it because she can stay comfortable, while still being able to eat, drink, walk (not into things), and she doesn’t get assaulted with sounds that the cone amplifies. The fabric is of high quality and washes very easily. I highly recommend it.
Tammy L.
This worked wonders for our Great Dane (XL, 135 pounds). She had an incision on outside of thigh that was impossible to keep bandaged until this arrived.
David R.
What a terrific solution for Stig as he recovered from his second TPLO. I am glad I happened upon a posting with a link to your website.
JAMES F.
We love the lick sleeve and have been using it so we don't have to use the E collar in the crate. Our dog had ACL surgery and we monitor her 24/7 to make sure she is not bothering the lick sleeve. We are at 12 days post op and the incision is healing beautiful and she is leaving the lick sleeve alone. A well made product and I'm convinced my dog appreciates not wearing an E collar. If you have to leave your dog alone I might add the E collar.
Gary P.
Our dog Maddy has Mast Cell cancer. She has had multiple surgeries. The Lick Sleeve is a welcome alterative to a cone collar.
Thank you!
Bruce S.
Works great! Helps to keep our American Bulldog away from her TPLO surgery incision. Easy to put on and take off and easy to wash. Highly recommended!
Judith A. W.
Use of the Lick Sleeve kept Buddy’s tongue off stitches from surgical removal of a suspicious lump. The sleeve did get soggy at times but the area was allowed to heal. Great invention!
Michael M.
Great product, it definitely made my life and my dogs life much easier. Dog had a TPLO and she had to be confined to a pen with a cone. When I had her out of the pen the No Lick sock came on, very easy to use just follow the directions.
Donna S.
So far so good. My dog Bella had CCL surgery 3 days ago and immediately we put the lick sleeve on. We were so happy to discover this product as an alternative to the the traditional plastic cone. For the most part, she has left the incision alone. I did however, catch her a few times licking the sleeve.
Overall we are pleased and hope the lick sleeve stays affective for her 2 week recovery period.
Megan H.
The lick sleeve is the perfect substitute for the “cone of shame”. My dog does not bother it at all. It appears to be quite comfortable. Very happy I decided to purchase one. Well worth the money!
Beverly O.
Our boy sure does love his LickSleeve. It gives him a much needed break from the “cone of shame”. TPLO surgery went well and the last thing we need is an infection. Easy on & easy off (for bathroom breaks). I’m also glad it’s reversible since, unfortunately, we may have a surgery on the other knee in the future. Thank you LickSleeve. You’ve provided a great product and I’m so glad I found you. Definitely will recommend to others.
Trinadette G.
I like that it fits snug yet still allows room for airflow. It’s easy to get on and off. It’s definitely a major step up from her needing to wear a cone. She had knee surgery and now she can comfortably lay down or eat and I don’t have to worry about her licking or messing up her wound. I also like that it can be interchangeable with both right and left leg.
Tamra H.
I needed something to cover a tumor on my pups leg. The vet only had gauze socks which didn’t hold up and slipped off. The Lick Sleeve is quality made, can be trimmed for a custom fit and best of all, it can be washed. The sleeve can be worn on either leg and just needs to be turned inside out to fit the other leg which is imprinted with left and right. My pup is a male cocker spaniel (28 lbs) and I ordered a size small which fits good. The Lick Sleeve wraps around the belly and will cover the male private part. I was able to scrunch it behind his unit so he could relieve himself. I would recommend the Lick Sleeve and it does what it was designed to do.
Michele C.
Our Rottweiler had a torn CC repaired two years ago and the all around experience with the E collar was awful for her and her humans. This year she had the same issue with her other hind leg and the Lick Sleeve has made the experience much better for her and her humans. This is so much nicer than those bulky collars. She is able to eat and drink without assistance and is much more comfortable.
Ellen R.
I originally ordered a size medium for my dog who was going to have a mast cell tumor removed from her leg. When I received it, it would not fit over her (big) foot. I contacted Lick Sleeve and advised them of her surgery date. They immediately emailed me a return shipping label and at the same time sent me a size large, which fits perfectly. I loved the quick service.
