I ordered the Lick Sleeve for my 92 lb goldendoodle who had to have TPLO surgery. The sleeve has been so helpful in keeping her incision protected from the outside elements as well as her licking or irritating it. It fits well and is easy to take on and off so that we can keep an eye on her incision as it heals and my pup does not seem bothered by it in any way, thankfully.
Fits my 17 lb Cavalier King Charles perfectly.
My crazy boxer girl had TPLO surgery. She went home with a cone that prevented her from licking the area. However, we have a second dog and the wild card I didn’t quite think about. How was I going to prevent my other dog from licking the surgical site?? The lick sleeve was a great solution. It’s a little pricey for a piece of fabric with clips but way less than the cost of a surgical revision if she got infected.
Does the trick. Easy to wash. Soft material. My dog likes to wear it.
The leg sleeve was an absolute lifesaver after our Black Lab’s cruciate surgery. She is truly a licker and even though we had the cone on her at night, this gave us such peace of mind to know she was doubly protected During the day, we did not keep the cone on our dog, and even though she was in our sight, there were times that she went to lick her leg and this was a wonderful barrier It fit well and was very comfortable for her
I was promised 2 day delivery but it was ground. Therefore, it was late so I had 2 days without the sleeve after my dog's surgery.
Perfect solution for my pup who had surgery and was a master at removing his own staples! My vet loved it so much they are looking into carrying it at their practice. It’s not full-proof and will slip off occasionally but it got us through the 1st 2 weeks after surgery and things were miserable before we received the sleeve.
My dog Ginger loves it! She hates wearing the "cone of shame". Recovering from knee surgery, she had to be confined to a small space and while wearing the cone she couldn't rest very well and was very restless. She's much more comfortable now and sleeps much better.
The Lick Sleeve was very helpful for our dog Zola after surgery on her leg. It kept the incision clean. Most importantly, she did not bother the incision!

My Golden had TPLO surgery. It is so much more comfortable for him than the cone. Thankfully he's not a chewer though. I have to take it off when he needs to go outside but when he comes back in he actually lifts his foot so I can put it back on! So glad I decided to buy it.
My dog had CCL surgery. He could lick his surgical site in spite of a cone. The licky sleeve saved us. He’s so much more comfortable, he’s able to eat and sleep better, and he leaves the incision alone. I was worried about putting something occlusive over a new incision, but this has enough air circulation in it, that his incision has healed really nicely. I used the recommended size and it fit very well. Couldn’t be happier.

This is a godsend! My dog had TPLO surgery. By day 2, she started licking the incision. We put the sleeve on her right away, and it's been a miracle. She has not tried to lick it at all since. She has not needed to wear the cone with the sleeve on! Do yourself and your pup a favor and invest in this.
This was a much better experience than using a cone. My dog hates using a cone; she keeps banging into walls and doors. This was a great solution after her surgery. It is easier to put on. It prevented her from getting at her incision. She was much happier wearing it instead of the cone. Great purchase!

After tplo surgery the surgeon recommended the lick sleeve and it is a lifesaver. The cone is awful and made our baby miserable; lick sleeve is a must have instead!
I ordered a XL single leg lick sleeve first. It did the job but was too small in the thigh area. Franky has a large/broad muscular thighs. I saw the bilateral suit and wanted to give it a try. So I ordered XXL and it fit perfectly. This suit was a complete game changer. We went from a depressed dog (when he was wearing cone). To a happy free moving boy. Covered his incision from TPLO surgery and was not one bit irritated. This is an amazing product and I have suggested to many of my dog friends and my veterinary clinic. I have no idea why you would spend money on a cone when it makes everyone miserable when there is a PERFECT solution. Buy the bilateral suit and all your problems and worries will be resolved. In fact I will be returning the single leg lick sleeve and ordering another bilateral suit so I can have an extra one on hand. 1000% SATISFIED!!!!!
We have used the Lick Sleeve for my Newfies recovery from TPLO surgery. It worked so great we did not need to use a Cone.
The lick sleeve fit just as described. Very easy to use. My dog is very comfortable with it and we are so happy she didn't have to wear the cone of shame after her tplo surgery
She doesn’t look happy with her Lick Sleeve, but it is doing its job! Stella has tried a few times to lick at her leg, I’m so happy for the Lick Sleeve that she was not able to get to her incision.
My Boxer had knee surgery on Monday and we started using the lick sleeve yesterday. He is actually proud of it and it does the job it was designed to do. We were cautioned about how important it was to keep him from licking the incision and in the past nothing had stopped him. The sleeve is going to make his recovery so much easier!!!! My only wish is that I didn't have to take it off for bathroom breaks.
Our beloved lab required surgery, and it was an enormous relief to have an alternative to that dreadful collar typically used to prevent dogs from interfering with the incision while it heals. It was initially a bit like putting tights on a dog -when getting the sleeve over her paw!- but once over the paw the lick sleeve fit nicely over her leg and stayed put with the strap around her middle, which she didn't mind. I appreciated that the respective sides were marked "left" and "right." Whoever invented the lick sleeve is a genius and the entire dog owning community owes them respect and gratitude!
It has worked very well for our dog to keep him from licking his stitches. In addition, it appears comfortable for him, he doesn’t mind wearing it at all.
What a great alternative to the cone of shame! No bumping into things, freedom to move! It really protected my dog’s leg and was very easy to put on. It is reversible for use on right or left leg. I have told everyone I know with a dog how great it is!

It's helped keep her from licking. The cone on her head is heavy and she doesn't have to wear if she's wearing the sleeve. She's able to walk around, sleep comfortably. It's great.
Legs were a bit long for my dog but we rolled them up and it works great! Much better than the dreaded cone!
I was devastated when my incredibly active dog tore her ACL. I thought there was no way she was going to get through surgery and recovery ... "She's too active. there's no way she will not run, jump, greet me on back legs at the door." We got through all that. The cone? I tried it and it was not good. The Lick Sleeve solved my problems in terms of her licking it. We are dealing with keeping her calm, but I have no worries about her licking the would open. We are in week 4 and all is well thus far. Well made and easy to use post TPLO surgery on our rambunctious 50lb dog. The material is smooth so it doesn't irritate the surgical site. It's also helpful that you can cut the bottom of the leg to get a good fit and the material does not fray. I very much recommend the lick sleeve. We purchased two of them so that one will always be clean to use.
What an amazing product. Easy to put on. I sleep soundly at night knowing that there is zero chance she’ll be licking her wound while the lick sleeve is on. She doesn’t mind wearing it at all. I’ll never use the cone or doughnut again.

It's been extremely effective during the early recovery period. My dog is typically a big licker, and the sleeve has avoided many of the typical issues we have previously had with other products (wraps, donuts, shields). Her recovery is much smoother than anticipated, and she is unbothered by the sleeve.
I know my dog appreciated not having to wear an eCollar. This made it easy and worry free that my dog would not lick her wounds and possibly causing infection. Definitely purchase this!
