I bought the bilateral hind leg sleeve suit and individual hind leg sleeves for my late English pointer Star. She had multiple illnesses including all forms of hemangiosarcoma: cutaneous, subcutaneous, and viscerally. She kept biting open one of the tumors on her legs and I needed some way to keep her from bothering it. HSA is a cancer in the blood vessels and can travel anywhere, so that is where we were.
I decided the sleeves might be the best solution to her.
Unfortunately, her medical conditions were hampering with a decent quality of life. She had a mass in her heart, on the pancreas, plus everywhere else possible in and on her body, and I couldn’t help that.
I asked the vet to let her go last Friday. They had been seeing her 2x a week for months.
Now to the sleeves, I thought the quality was excellent and they washed well. I wrestled with trying to find a good way for the hind sleeves to convert to being on the front legs. It never was a good functionally, but with manipulation we made it work for her last couple of days (I believe I received the sleeves a few days before she passed.

Couldn’t be happier with the Lick sleeve . No more cone for my Golden Retriever

The inside of the leg sleeve has an unfinished seem. I feel this is a design flaw. That seem rubs against the incision and causes bleeding. In terms of use it is easy to get on and off. I just was not able to use as much due to design. If you look at value a high quality cone is very effective at preventing licking and is significantly lower cost. It also does not irritate the incision.

The lick sleeve is miraculous compared to using a cone. Customer service is phenomenal. We had to do a couple of exchanges and they were so friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend.

Fit perfectly based on the measurements! Helped my dog sleep comfortably after surgery! Kept both incisions clean and helped him heal quickly! And no bruised shins for us!

After Coco Mia’s knee surgery, we needed something to protect her incision and prevent her from licking. This sleeve was recommended by her surgeon, and I’m so glad we found it.
We actually ordered three different sleeves before finding the perfect fit, and throughout the process, the customer service was exemplary. The team was committed to helping us get the right sleeve and ensuring a comfortable, secure fit for Coco Mia.
The sleeve is exceptionally well made, durable, and comfortable. It has been especially helpful during the hot summer weather because it provides protection without the bulk of a traditional cone.
Most importantly, Coco Mia is well on her way to recovery! I highly recommend this product and the company behind it. Five stars!

We originally got a size that was a little too small. Exchange process was really easy. Fits well, easy for our guy to go to the bathroom, washed easily and very easy to put on. He does look like he’s wearing a mob track suit but I think that’s a plus!

My doggy loves it! It does more that protect his skin while healing! He feels very secure wearing it I’ve wasted so much money buying other brands i will definitely recommend lick sleeve to all pet owners also he looks very beautiful in lick sleeve.

My chocolate lab, Benny Gee had to have a bilateral CCL repair. The lick sleeve was a life saver. Once on, Benny no longer had to wear the, “Cone of shame.”
He seemed more comfortable in the lick sleeve.
Thank you!

Our sweet collie mix had surgery on both of her knees, and we really didn’t want to use an ecollar to prevent licking, so our vet suggested LickSleeve as an alternative. We are so very pleased with its performance. I was worried that our girl might have trouble with potty while wearing the suit, but there was a helpful card included in the package that explained how to make personalized adjustments to the suit, and that strategy worked perfectly. I also worried that she might get overheated in the suit, but she seems very comfortable.

Easy to use and easy to launder. It does stretch out with wear, but laundering helps reshape back to original fit. The material is breathable; however, thick coated dogs may become too warm without aid of a fan or breeze in warmer weather/climate. Overall, I would recommend this to other dog owners who have a need to cover hindquarters post surgery or injury.

Your product has been so helpful for my dog. He had bilateral TPLO surgery in October and is now recovering from hardware removal surgery. I didn’t buy the suit the first time around and I totally regret it. For this second surgery, he hasn’t had to wear a cone ONCE. I’ll tell any and everyone to buy this if they need both knees covered. Oh, and I filed a pet insurance claim for it - and it was covered 70% by Embrace!

Got as an option for my dog healing from a bad hot spot. Does the job but a little hot for my guy.

We initially purchased the original LickSleeve. However, although it didn't allow our dog to get to her incision after ACL surgery, it kept sliding down her back and would wind up off of her body. In speaking to Henry and sending pictures to him, he offered to send us the new recovery suit. It solved the problem completely. She now is sporting her gray pajamas proudly. Thank you, and Henry for providing excellent customer service and developing this new product. Needless to say, we abhor the e-collar alternative.
Best regards,
Stan Brecher
P.S. I am returning the Lick Sleeve as Henry said that you would donate it to a shelter in your region.

My senior dog has a bump she won't leave alone. The Lick Sleeve is a so much more comfortable than a donut collar, she barely notices that she's wearing it.

Our Yukon had TPLO surgery recently and this suit helped a bunch from keeping him from licking wound. He never had to wear an ecollar. Suit was easier from him to use the bathroom. Highly recommend both the bilateral suit and leg sleeve for dogs recovery. They both washed up great and fit nicely

My dog has a history i’m getting out of all coverings even with a cone. She cannot get out of the body suit. I feel confident in her leg is healing. I only gave it 4 because it is so hard to get on a weekly dog. Other than that, it’s great.

Made surgery recovery much easier than wearing a collar.

My dog has an open wound on his ankle that we are managing with bandages and the recovery suit allows me to keep the bandage in place and not worry about him biting the bandages off. I don’t know what I would do if we didn’t have the recovery suit. The surgery team at Ohio State Vet Hospital recommended getting one and I couldn’t be more thankful.

My dog didn’t have bilateral surgery but we knew his other knee would need surgery soon after the first. We opted for the suit because we wouldn’t need to order two sleeves. This worked perfectly. To him it was just like wearing Jammies and the material wasn’t too hot in the Texas spring. It washed up great and we will keep it around just in case he needs to have his legs off limits when he gets allergic hotspots.

This is such a great product. Izzy's wound started to heal the next day. Not only did it prevent Izzy from licking her wound, it prevented her room mate, Suka. Customer service was exceptional.
Pamela M.
Easy to put on and off. She seemed comfortable in it. Definitely better than other choices.

Clients are choosing the lick sleeve option over the old "cone of shame" for post surgical care.

Great fit. Perfect after surgery.

The second week in recovery made life easier! Walks were more enjoyable and help with resting.

Pup is comfortable and it does The Job. Very happy.

Fits great and beats the heck out of the cone of shame!!

Good idea, but doesn't fit my dog very well. Support sent me another size and then stopped responding. Also is over priced and my dog doesn't like wearing it

Perfect in every way! Very high quality, great material, well designed, and very comfortable on my Golden.

Worked Great. However, you might consider developing a size between small and extra small. Our puppy wore the small size after her surgery on her back right leg. The extra small was too tight so
we used the little bit bigger small size so that she did not have to wear one of those awful hard cones during recovery.

Amazing customer service and support

When I received it, I noticed that the suit was a little bit tight on my girl even based on the measurements… I returned it for a double extra large and the customer service was impeccable. They sent me out to the replacement immediately and sent me the return label… It was a very easy process.

Our 60 lb 9 month female Bernese Mountain Dog had a total hip replacement, and it was imperative that we protect the incision for 10-14 days. Our “puppy” did not tolerate the traditional cones or donuts. We lost several nights of sleep trying to use those methods. The ortho vet suggested the bilateral rear Lick Sleeve. We ordered both L and XL and ended up using the XL, and it worked beautifully. We finally got some sleep, and the incision is now totally healed. Thank you!

Our 8 year old lab/golden retriever mix had TPLO surgery and the Lick Sleeve was a much preferred alternative to a horribly pitiful and uncomfortable cone of shame. I did have to make a slight lower region alteration to allow a little more freedom in the boy parts peeing zone but all in all this was a perfect solution to protecting our guy’s stitches post surgery! Would highly recommend to others!
Kim B.
I'm pretty sure whoever designed these has never actually had to put one on a dog who's had a bilateral TPLO surgery. Getting that on and off once a day for checking sutures is traumatizing for everybody. There definitely needs to be some zippers or something on the legs so you can check sutures without having to take everything off. I could not keep doing that to my dog.

We got Large size. My girl is tall but skinny. 60 pounds. The large size was perfect. I did minor alteration to allow more “rear end” room by rolling up the material under the tail and sewed it to allow more “girl space” for potty.
The material is like a good quality tee shirt. Washable. My girl was so happy to be cone-free after mass removals both rear legs.
Really great quality. 100% recommend.

The rear bilateral Lick Sleeve has been a God send for our dog. After having to have both ACLs repaired within 3 weeks, the garment allowed our dog to heal safely without using the e-collar cone or donut neck pillow. The Lick Sleeve made our dog more comfortable while providing us with peace of mind.
Tyleen M.
We measured her and it fits perfectly.
The sleeve that we purchased for just the leg was too small :(

We absolutely love the new Bilateral Lick Sleeves. They are so easy to use and comfortable for the pets. The owners love that using the lick sleeve products does away with the cone collars.
Thank you to every one at Lick Sleeve, when our clients are happy then we're happy.

We loved both the samples. We may be adding the body suits to our inventory. Thank yoU!
