Orders ship from Dallas, Texas (USA). At checkout, you can choose options such as overnight or 2-business-day shipping. After you select a method, an estimated delivery date will display based on your location and choice.

Is the Lick Sleeve® washable?

Yes. The Lick Sleeve® is machine washable. Hang to dry or tumble on a low-heat cycle.

What's the fabric made of?

The fabric is 95% polyester and 5% spandex—chosen to be soft, breathable, and flexible. It helps keep the area comfortable while reducing trapped moisture that could increase infection risk.

Does my dog need to wear an e-collar with the Lick Sleeve®?

Most dogs should not need an e-collar in addition to the Lick Sleeve®. Exceptions include patients with higher anxiety or a history of chewing. Monitor your dog for the first few hours, and consider an e-collar at night or when unattended if they tend to chew. How can a male dog urinate with the sleeve on?

Unbuckle and unwrap the sleeve from around the dog’s waist to assist with urination, then resecure afterward. You can use the strap as a handle while the pet urinates. Watch the official demo video on this page.

What can I do if the Lick Sleeve® is too long for my dog?

You can trim the bottom of the sleeve with household scissors to prevent it from hanging past the paw—the material will not fray. You can also roll the end into a cuff.

Can my dog wear two sleeves at the same time?

Yes. Dogs may wear two sleeves simultaneously if needed, such as for bilateral procedures.

Do I need to specify the hind leg that’s having the procedure?

No. The Lick Sleeve® is reversible and will work for either the right or the left limb.

Can the Lick Sleeve® be used on front legs?

Yes. The Lick Sleeve® can be worn on front legs by crossing the long strap across the chest. Use the right side of the sleeve for the right front limb and the left side for the left front limb.

Is there an alternative to a dog cone?

Traditional e-collars (“cones”) can hinder sleeping, eating, drinking, and movement. Alternatives include soft e-collars, inflatable collars, neck control collars, or our patented Lick Sleeve® leg sleeve. My dog had TPLO surgery and I wanted an alternative to the traditional E collar. I could not have been more pleased with the LickSleeve! My dog showed little interest in licking her wound and seemed much more comfortable than using an E collar. My dog is short-haired and has a stub tail. She was able to slide the sleeve off once. She likes to roll on the rug and I believe it slid down her hips and off. Aside from that, I had no issues with it at all. It appears to be quite durable and is easy to put on. Is it more expensive? Yes. Was it worth it? Yes! I would certainly recommend it for this particular type of wound protection.

This was my dog’s second acl rupture in 8 months. I decided to try the Lick Sleeve this time as it was less confining than the sleeve I used the first time. Overall, I liked the freedom of movement offered using this sleeve. I did think the clasp closure could be improved upon. It seemed to “cut” into my dog when it was tightened, which it had to be periodically as the material began to stretch with wear. My dog wore the sleeve for 13 days for reference. Maybe using velcro and a wider band would work better? Also, name label and leg label (on the inside) was already wearing off before washing occurred. For the price, I feel a few improvements could be made. The sleeve was very expensive and material a bit flimsy.

This is a great product. I would recommend it for any dog! Full disclosure, my dog is a big licker. He would lick with his lick sleeve on anyway. BUT - it's still great for being able to provide lots of worry-free cone breaks. Whenever we've been hanging out, eyes on my dog, I can take off the cone and he is safe with just the sleeve on. I wouldn't trust him when I'm not there, or in the night, but it's well worth the money for the pleasure we both had in taking that annoying cone off at times :)

My Rhino just had surgery for a ruptured CCL so I bought him a Lick Sleeve to wear as he recovers. Rhino is built like a tank at 75 pounds with short little legs. I got him a size XL sleeve and then just cut a few inches off of the bottom for a perfect fit! Probably not the right person to ask. The concept is great, but Grayson is between sizes. We bought the large, should have gone with the medium. The sleeve did its job once we figured out how to jerry rig it to stay on by adding a strap and hooking it to his harness. The material that wraps around the body could have more 'body' to it, it tends to curl... but all that being said, once we fussed with it (it turns out it's a two person job to get it on the dog), it prevented him from licking his incision - which was the main reason for the purchase. It was way too costly to have to fuss that much, but eventually we got it to work.
